First-date jitters are a little too real. So here are a few quick things to prepare for this new experience!

  1. Plan Your Outfit/Pre-Routine: It’s always important to be over-prepared. Pick out your outfit, set a time to get ready, and think about the kind of date. Is it casual or a nice dinner? It’ll help you stress-less closer to the hour.

  2. Consider Your Logistics: Make sure you have your ducks in a row for the date. How are you getting there/back? What time should you leave to get there on time? These are all essential things to make a good first impression and ensure you’re safe.

  3. Take a deep breath and be yourself: Odds are that the other person is nervous, too, so don’t let one bad date from your past stress you out. Believe in yourself to have fun or at least learn from a new experience of what you want and don’t.

  4. Know It’s Ok Not to Want a Second Date: Not every date ends in true love. Having expectations for yourself and your future partner is fine, but pushing that onto a stranger isn’t Know you should enjoy the date for what it is before making up a step-by-step plan in your mind.

Following these tips will prepare you better for your first date. Relax, enjoy the moment, and remember that dating is about finding a connection and growing your circle first!
